Sr. Analyst, Demand Planning

The primary role of the market Demand Planner, Sr. Analyst (Deliver) is to own and ensure the 4-13 week forecast is developed, reviewed, published, and adjusted as needed by partnering with sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain partners. The Demand Planner will manage a portfolio of approximately 200-300 SKUs and will develop a forecast by using insights such as shipment history, sales collaboration, distribution accuracy, and marketing plans. This position is a key driver in creating and managing the true consumer demand signals by which to align the rest of the Supply Chain

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead collaboration calls with key sales accounts to review and adjust the 4-13 week forecast based on customer inputs
  • Act as a key player in the S&OE process to ensure our 4-13 weeks plans are reflective of short-term adjustments
  • Participate in Step 1&2, collaborating with Design Planner and bringing short term forecast insights to cross functional teams
  • Analyze historical and short-term future demand inputs and calculate their impacts on demand
  • Make recommendations to enhance business processes, and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies
  • Work with cross-functional partners on projects such as new product launches, obsolescence, and transitions to evaluate assumptions
  • Provide input related to root cause analyses on forecast error to design demand planner
  • Measure, analyze, and communicate key process metrics and monitor adherence to key performance indicators, while driving continuous improvement, as they relate to short term distribution metrics

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Minimum 1-3 years of combined experience in Demand Planning
  • Experience in the CPG industry
  • Experience with planning applications such as SAP, APO, Kinaxis, or SAS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across all levels within the organization.
  • Quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including business process metrics and measures linking to business KPIs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Primary work location SCJ Brantford office; candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Position is Full-Time, regular business hours, Monday-Friday
  • Office work environment: Remote work available once a week for eligible employees
