In this position you will be responsible for the day to day management and outbound deployment of primary freight shipments from the SC Johnson manufacturing plant in Mijdrecht, as well you will be responsible for the inbound freights towards Mijdrecht.
You will also drive transport analytics to deliver end to end cost and performance improvements, and the role supports the regional transportation team operation, when required.
The focus is split between operations and performance management, to enable cost & service KPI improvements. You will work cross-functionally with the different European and global Supply Chain Teams: Warehousing, Production, Planning, Logistics Operations, Global Trade Compliance and external Control Towers and customers.

Europlant is located between the cities of Amsterdam and Utrecht.
Manage day to day deployment operations of Primary Freight shipments (Finished Goods) from the manufacturing plant to worldwide Distribution Centers including daily loading plan creation, load priority setting, documentation issuance;
Manage & support inbound shipments (Non-Finished Goods) from suppliers towards Mijdrecht.
Lead the relationship between Control Towers and Logistics Service Providers to ensure shipment execution in full compliance with SCJ standards and export regulations;
Coordinate collaboration with Material planning, Supply Planning, Production Scheduling & warehouse Coordinators to manage warehouse capacity and anticipate potential risks of overflow at Midrecht & in the regional distribution centers;
Monitor Service KPIs (OTD, OTP, OTC) across EU and lead continuous improvement plans;
Deliver Transportation EU budget and cost savings targets;
Support monthly Sales Freight analysis;
Participate in major improvement projects for the region;
Lead Logistics and Transportation tasks for new product development projects;
Develop deep functional and sustainable capabilities in transportation;
Become a LEAN Champion, foster LEAN methodology and culture within Supply Chain.
University degree in Supply Chain or related field;
Logistics operation or Transport operation study experience or previous internship experience in Supply will be considered competitive advantages;
Fluent in speaking, writing, and reading Dutch & English;
Computer skills & basics Microsoft office applications (word, excel, power point);
Analytical skills with financial acumen;
