As a Territory Manager, you will be responsible for managing customer relationships across all Grocery Key Account stores in the West Auckland, North Shore & Northland area with the objective being to maximize the business performance within the Territory. This will be achieved by developing strong relationships with all customers, promotional management, financial analysis, pro-actively managing shelf space, correct allocation and management of merchandising resource, effective sales and distribution of New Product Development (NPD).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Financial analysis and understanding of commercial key metrics
  • Display co-op management to territory budget
  • Achievement of market share targets
  • Management of promotional program to agreed pricing strategy and frequency
  • Trade spend management, accountability and analysis
  • Deliver product distribution targets
  • Exceptional store execution - ranging, in stock position, promotional displays
  • Provide and maintain detailed account call cycle information as required
  • In-store selling in all Foodstuffs banners in territory
  • Building a store plan, outlining commercial plans and objectives.
  • Manage 3rd party field merchandisers for instore merchandising and building displays
  • Build strong relationship with customers to ensure optimum commercial results
  • Regular store reviews of business performance with key customers
  • Assist customer in effective stock management
  • Plan, align & execute promotional, NPD & restage activity to specific account timeframes

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a field sales / account management role
  • Ability to build solid relationships with NZ grocery customers
  • Ability to work independently
  • Intermediate computer skills, Word / Excel / PowerPoint and Outlook email
