Manager, Customer Marketing (Trade Marketing)

As the Manager, Customer Marketing, you are responsible for translating Marketing/Brand strategies into impactful go-to-market execution plans as well as the key liaison between Sales and Marketing teams and the point of contract to other functional departments. You are responsible for developing and communicating sales strategies and selling stories that drive excellent execution, customer growth, and business results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies by working with the marketing team to develop category specific business strategies that drive business results
  • Develop go-to-market strategies and trade bundle, point of purchase (POP) materials for new product development (NPD) with ensuring timely and impactful execution at the point of sale (POS)
  • Develop in-store deal/promotion and trade channel strategies ensuring that these are aligned with brand strategies
  • Sales liaison to other functional groups by providing trade/sales inputs in the NPD process e.g., pack size, shelf ready packaging, launch timeline
  • Drive alignment between marketing, operations and finance as well as sales leadership team
  • Deliver transparent information and communication to the sales force and distributors to improve their relationship with accounts and provide them with best practices and tools
  • Manage monthly sales and marketing meetings to drive cross functional collaboration
  • Responsible for attracting, developing, and retaining talent within Customer Marketing and Sales Admin team
  • Coach and mentor subordinates for future increased responsibilities as well as develop the career planning for each team members

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Bachelor's in business or related fields
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the FMCG Industry with people management experience
  • Having a cross functional experience such as in Marketing, Modern Trade or General Trade sales experience is added advantage
  • Possess good leadership, interpersonal, influencing and presentation skills
  • Good problem solving skills
