Develop and execute against a global quality strategy that empowers the organization to protect the trust of our consumers and brands and win in the market. This position will build cross functional capability to anticipate risk and prevent quality issues by developing expertise, standards in cGMP and quality technologies, and support existing product development (EPD) and new product development (NPD) qualification across the supply chain.Additionally, the role will drive prevention related programs that will mitigate process and product failure and provide global quality personnel with a toolkit of standards and programs that aid in continuous improvement initiatives.
oEstablish, implement and communicate a strategic global quality vision which aligns the organization to protect the trust of our consumers and brands, and enables SCJ Professional to win in the market
oProvide over-site and ensure sustained performance against the Quality Management System
oLiaise with and leverage the HQ Quality cGMP COE for quality oversight and governance support, ensuring that global standards are incorporated into site level QMS execution plans
oEnsure drug manufacturing sites attain and sustain cGMP compliance, and that all sites are in a state of perpetual audit readiness
oBuild trust and credibility with key stakeholders and cross functional leadership teams at all levels of the organization
oUse critical thinking to drive scientific and risk-based decisions, enabling SCJ Professional to deliver quality product on time and on cost
oContinually assess, build and develop the capability of the global quality team members to properly support the business; support individual career growth opportunities and succession planning for site quality leaders
oProvide guidance and direction for managing high impact Product Incident Investigations, Near-Miss programs, and potential Customer Service impacting issues
oChallenge the quality organization to innovate, adopt best practices and drive prevention related programs that deliver on Cost of Quality reduction initiatives and enable breakthrough performance globally
oDevelop an SCJP COE (Center of Excellence) that enables global implementation of quality strategies and standards, to include CAPA, metrics, and 3PM and supplier quality management
oDrive quality metric improvement across the organization; communicate said improvements to key internal and external audiences and stakeholders
oBS in Scientific Discipline; Engineering, Quality Engineering, Chemistry, or Microbiology Required
oMinimum of 7+ years of increasing responsibility and experience in quality and/or engineering in a global manufacturing environment. Preferred meaningful assignments in manufacturing, engineering, and/or manufacturing quality within companies recognized for achievement of best practices in lean manufacturing/execution
oQuality leadership in a cGMP/OTC regulated environment required
oInclusive leader with 5+ years of management of people experience
oGlobal acumen and familiarity with multi-cultural diversity
oAbility to lead through influence, manage ambiguity, and demonstrate managerial courage to deliver against business objectives
oA well-rounded business person with strong organizational savvy, who partners effectively with cross functional stakeholders to earn respect and trust at all levels of the organization
oStrong communication skills – both written and oral. Ability to present on various topics to executive committees when requested and/or discuss detailed issues with plant personnel
oExperience and ability to coach the broader team to enable effective problem solving, use of broad-based statistical analysis, focused consumer data management, ensuring E2E process control and capability
oStrong emphasis on quality tools (such as CAPA, FMEA, FTA, QFD, SPC, Six Sigma, etc.)
oMBA/Advanced Degree Preferred
