Manager, Customer Marketing Special Packs

Customer Marketing Manager – Special Packs manages the coordination and execution of Warehouse Club Special Packs (all categories across warehouse club base and finished goods) and eCommerce.

Manages commercialization technical needs for the overall Special Pack umbrella (Globally defined as Base Offline, Promotional Packs, Warehouse Club, and Ecommerce) including project management tools, SCJ systems/applications, and process changes/improvements.

Manages Sales and customer facing coordination and execution of product deck, sales samples, and data sync as well as display design briefs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Warehouse Club and eCommerce

  • Manage the project coordination and execution of Warehouse Club and Ecommerce packs as approved by Omni-Customer Marketing, Marketing, and Sales including guiding pre-scoping efforts and decisions.
  • Manage collaboration with project stakeholders and teams to successfully plan and manage project details to ensure key milestones are on time to meet the customers’ needs.
  • Ensure 1) project meetings are focused on delivering new packs and pack refreshes on time as well as 2) key notes and follow-ups are disseminated to establish a clear picture of each project’s status, challenges to overcome, and key next steps needed to keep projects on-track.

Manages Technical Needs

  • Ensure project management tools such as project timelines and KPIs are effectively developed, maintained, and monitored to ensure key milestones are met to meet needs of Sales and the customers.
  • Oversees management of team to deliver weekly maintenance, prioritization, and distribute holistic project lists with E2E KPIs for all Special Packs across business categories and customers for internal and external project teams to ensure risks are being mitigated.
  • Oversees team efforts to drive process improvements focused on streamlining pack commercialization processes and timelines with the end in mind of driving efficiencies that maximize new Special Pack on time in full deliverables.
  • Manages team to deliver system documentation and training materials specific to Special Packs, (Ex: PLM, ECC, Data Sync, Product Deck, c-folders, WebCenter), to ensure business partners can successfully commercialize new packs.

Manage Sales & Customer Facing Coordination

  • Ensure design briefs are accurate and being utilized to provide clear project scope to those executing the work.
  • Ensures timely and accurate listing of new product specifications on the product deck.
  • Ensures reliable and timely availability of sales samples and product beauty shot accessibility on the product deck.
  • Drives consistency between classes of trade and business units to deliver transparent communication to Sales.
  • Manage quality of data for Sales in data sync processes with BPT.
  • Manage team communications to ensure delivery of clear, concise, actionable priorities.

People Management Responsibilities

  • Directly managing 1 special pack project leader and 2 specialists.
  • Coach and mentor Special Pack team members for future increased responsibilities.
  • Individual development and career planning for each team member.

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • 5 years relevant business experience in US warehouse club channel
  • 5 years project management experience (NPD, SPKs, systems development/management)
  • Previous Account Business Manager, Category Manager, Marketing Commercialization Manager, Project Manager, Product Development, Packaging Engineer, Product Change Management, or an experienced ABM with relevant and extensive retailer facing experience.

Technical Skills:

  • Exceptional Excel skills & strong in other Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Project, Access)
  • SCJ Data Tools (PLM, ECC, Product Deck, PlanIT).
  • SCJ Systems/Processes (design brief tool, custom pallets, sales BOMs, data sync, deal deck, samples, etc.)
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, tools, and processes.
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
