Associate Manager, Supply Chain, Trade Compliance

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an Associate Manager, Supply Chain, Trade Compliance.

As the Trade Compliance Associate Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the organization meets the requirements for importing/exporting goods in the EMEA region.

Job Details:

This is a great opportunity for a commercially minded and pragmatic individual. You will ideally have proven import/export compliance experience with regional knowledge gained in practice or you will be a supply chain professional who has gained some exposure in this area and now looking to build your knowledge further.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Ensuring that correct proof of origin is obtained and archived to support preferential trade agreements
  • Populating SAP system with correct data for import/export operations
  • Assisting regional and global team in classifying products’ HTS codes
  • Coordinating and overseeing the audit of import/export Customs documentation to ensure accuracy of records
  • Verifying required corrective action is implemented for any inaccuracies found  
  • Assisting in the execution of logistics projects as required as Senior Matter Expert (SME) for GTC
  • Monitoring and advise logistics team on export/import practices in the region
  • Proactively communicate regularly with the import brokers/freight forwarders on open issues
  • Preparing paperwork and advise business on offline shipments (e.g. marketing/registration samples etc.)
  • Day to day oversight and coaching of 2 Senior Analysts supporting the Europe Region


To succeed in this role, you will enjoy working as a partner to the business and in an advisory capacity. You will be collaborative and have the flexibility to succeed in a fast paced and ever-changing environment.

Key requirements include:

  • Graduate degree or equivalent
  • Experience gained in a similar role preferably in a related industry
  • Experience of working on SAP System
  • Self-starter and attention to detail with ability to work independently
  • Creatively seeking opportunities to improve processes
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to execute professionally
  • Analytical skills necessary but what is essential is data interpretation
  • Knowledge of the complexities of moving products across borders: international freight, duties, custom brokers, freight forwarders, and ocean/air carriers
  • Proven import/export compliance experience with regional knowledge gained in practice 
  • Knowledge of HTS, INCOTERMs, country of origin rules, import/export laws and regulations
  • English and/or another European Language
