SC Johnson have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, forward thinking individual who is looking to progress their career in Sales Account Management. This developmental role will give the opportunity to understand the full back office function of sales account management whilst gaining hands on experience with customers from High street discounters and Independents.

This is a highly varied role, covering a diverse range of retailers, wholesalers and discount stores in a highly competitive retail environment. Working closely with the channel Account Managers, the role will be responsible for timely, accurate back office administration as well as continuous process improvements. Business support to the NAM’s through the management and analysis of account specific reports and systems. (50%). The successful candidate will have responsibility for the flawless execution of the customer marketing plans, which is critical to overall KPI delivering within the channel (50%). This covers a wide range of tactics, displays and online marketing

This role will require regular travel to customers around the UK.

Job Details:


  • Planning, sell-in, management and best-in-class execution of customer marketing plans including displays, special packs, POS materials and online. Within budget and delivering on Brand Marketing objectives
  • Contributing to overall customer KPI delivery (Revenue, profit, shares)
  • Developing strong working knowledge of SC Johnson internal processes and become an expert on all customer Administrative processes
  • Supporting the Channel Account Team on Sales performance through the management and analysis of account specific reports
  • Management of retailer Invoicing, pricing and Accruals process
  • Developing a strong working relationship with multiple retailers to ensure smooth running of day-to-day operations


  • Graduate calibre or equivalent
  • Ideally similar previous experience – either through permanent position or placement year.
  • Experience working with major retailers in the UK and a desire to support all aspects of the SCJ trading relationship with the specified customers.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills with strong stakeholder management experience at all levels as well as the ability to develop and execute fact-based business plans and arguments
  • Strong financial acumen and attention to detail. Right first-time approach, effective ability to prioritise workload and deliverables
  • Self-starter - Ability to deliver results with high degree of initiative and speed
