Regulatory Compliance Specialist

About the role

This is an entry level role where you have a great opportunity to draw from your studies to build a career in a European Regulatory role with a large FMCG business.

This role will assist in the co-ordination and execution of regional compliance activities for SCJ Home Cleaning (HC) products in the European region associated with key pieces of EU legislation including, but not limited to CLP, Detergent Regulation and REACH. In particular, the specialist will coordinate GSARA’s input into various EU Home Cleaning projects, determine product labelling details and assess alternative suppliers of raw materials. Involvement in projects in other business categories may also be required on occasion.

About the Team/Department

The Global Regulatory Compliance and Registration (GRRC) function provides global regulatory leadership, expertise, and execution for the information/dossier development, product registration, and compliance management of all SC Johnson products. 


  • Support the GRRC team to provide product-specific requirements based on detailed knowledge of relevant EU regulations to ensure all new product developments (NPDs) are fully compliant with regulations. Ensure any new regulations / interpretations are understood and communicated to stakeholders
  • Maintenance of existing products in light of growing issues & constraints: Changes / additions to legislation are considered for the EU HC product portfolio
  • Project team participation: Input into project timelines and success criteria and attend relevant project meetings
  • Input to project resource needs: Help determine the level of GSARA resource required for projects and feed information back to the functional leaders
  • Work with other members of the GRRC team to provide regulatory support for products in market

Experience you’ll bring:

  • BSc or MSc degree (or equivalent) preferably in a related Science field (Chemistry, Biology) is strongly preferred
  • Work experience in compliance-related field
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements across EU region is an advantage

  • Problem solving skills with the ability to bring projects to a conclusion
