As the Associate Manager, BPT Applications Development, Maintenance & Integration (Middleware Application Engineer) is a global technical role that is responsible for maintenance, support, and ongoing enhancement of middleware applications and integration components, while ensuring 24x7x365 service availability. You will work closely with members of the Integration Services, EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), and Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) teams to maintain the application lifecycle of various middleware & integration technologies. You will be responsible for the architecture, design, development, delivery and ongoing support of all EDI and application to application (A2A) integration services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure 24x7x365 availability of the EDI and middleware platform with all incidents and problem tickets are resolved within SLA
Act as change advisory board (CAB) member to review and approve non-production and production changes that may potentially impact EDI & Integration services
Ensure all trading partners AS2 certificates are updated and renewed on a timely basis
Provide governance and monitoring for all data traffic that flows through the middleware platform, related to data type, sizes and frequency and act as a single point of escalation for EDI technical concerns
Manage 3rd party application vendor for software maintenance and renewals and version upgrades
Collaborate with other cross-functional teams to architect, design, develop, test, and deploy solutions in production and work with server, storage, database, network and security teams on changes that could impact Integration Services ensuring zero to minimal business disruption
Take on the more complex integration requests and project work, while delegating standard requests to the third-party development team and ensure integration solutions for new projects are in line with SCJ security guidelines, best practices and our integration services strategy
Prepare Architecture Design Document (ADD) and present it to architecture review board (ARB) for approval before implementing the design and articulate the technical and functional requirements of projects involving integration services (EDI, A2A, MFT), to Project Managers, Business Analysts and 3rd party service providers
Maintain and/or migrate legacy applications to standard EDI services and perform EDI application version upgrades and patches and oversee 3rd party managed service provider support activities related to daily/weekly/monthly maintenance, patches and upgrades
Review and approve changes implemented by the third-party development team
Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field
Minimum 6 years of solid background in EDI with prior experience in mapping using GXS AI, IBM Sterling, Dell Boomi or other EDI translators and hands-on experience with EDI applications such as Linoma GoAnywhere, GXS AI, Trade Guide, and Liaison Commerce Suite and similar applications
Broad working experience and understanding of global B2B/EDI architecture and process flow
EDI trading partner management configuration and maintenance
Strong understanding of routing concepts of EDI standard documents including X12, EDIFACT, Flat Files, XML, and TRADACOMS.
Experienced in UNIX/Linux command line, good grasp of general server concepts: file systems, processes, memory usage and strong familiarity with Perl, CGI, and Kornshell scripting languages.
Good grasp of program flow concepts (conditional statements, loops, variables, subroutines)
