Associate Manager, BPT Information Management (Test Manager)

As the Associate Manager, BPT Information Management (Test Manager), you are responsible for the Testing Strategy & Process, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, Performance Testing, and User Acceptance Testing including Planning, Execution, and Defect Management for project delivery. Ensure there is proper communication and coordination of testing activities among and between the various teams across technical staff, business users, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor all test activities from project initiation through production deployment such as:

    • Develop test strategy and plan for the project.

    • Create or update the SIT and UAT test cases for the project.

    • Set-up the test management tool (ALM or JIRA) for requirements and test traceability matrix, test cases, and defect management of the project.

    • Drive and lead the testing execution sessions (system integration and regression, performance/stress, security testing and user acceptance) with the project team.

    • Triage defects uncovered during testing and facilitate discussion between technical team and business users for proper resolution and retesting.

    • Ensure complete and accurate documentation of all test documents (unit tests, test cases, test reports, etc.)

    • Transition test documentation & tools to support team and for inclusion, if applicable, in automation.

  • Create and present testing status to all levels of management

  • Coordinate with users and technical team as required to agree on the testing strategy to be employed for projects

  • Manages all risks associated with testing and takes preventative action when any risks become unacceptable

  • Oversee day-to-day coordination and issue escalation with both internal and third-party providers delivering testing capabilities and services

  • Provide root cause analysis at the of the project for future improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement of processes and procedures within the testing framework and methodology

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related filed

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience leading and managing testing activities for large-scale projects

  • Certified Tester – Foundation Level by ISTQB or any equivalent testing certification governing body preferred

  • Experienced working knowledge on Test Management concepts and various Test Management tools such as ALM and JIRA

  • Experience working with business functions to gain business engagement and support in the testing process

  • Experience and knowledge with Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse

  • Experience working with global team cross-functionally
