Customer Marketing is a critical function within the SCJ business, as it connects sales and marketing, by providing exceptional category and retailer growth narratives that win the shopper.
The Customer Marketing Associate is a development role that supports the customer marketing managers in the execution of our channel plans to win with the shopper every day.
We are looking for someone who is collaborative, results focused, and a desire to learn from strong mentors and progress through the business.
You will also be given responsibility across a couple of smaller categories, and ownership to develop the channel strategy, shopper activations and retailer trade narratives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supports the Customer Marketing Managers in the development of price, promotion and assortment strategy across our core channels of Grocery, Mass, Pharmacy, Online, DIY and Club
Works collaboratively with the sales and marketing teams to ensure these strategies can be executed across our brands and retail customers
Supports the Customer Marketing Managers in the development of shopper briefs with our global agency partners
Align with our marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging of consumer and shopper communications, in line with brand guidelines
Collaborate with our marketing and sales teams to ensure end to end planning of our FOCO plans, to help win across the consumer and the shopper
Work with our agency partners to source relevant shopper assets required to execute with our retail partners
Work collaboratively with our global teams to source relevant insights and case studies from other markets, that will help in the sell in of retailer narratives
Support the Customer Marketing Managers in sourcing relevant samples, materials, assets etc related to the setup of range reviews and planning days
Point of contact for all Customer Marketing related online execution, including pureplay, Direct to Consumer and bricks / clicks
Develop price and promotion strategies across our Direct to Consumer Channel
Responsible for the Channel Strategy, Trade Narratives and Shopper Strategy across these categories
Responsible for the management and execution of special projects within the customer marketing team
Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:
A university degree is preferred, ideally in business or marketing.
At least 1 year in either a Marketing, Category or an Account Management role, in a brand driven FMCG company
Some experience presenting to customers is essential
Initiative, results focused, collaborative and a willingness to learn and progress through the business
Project management experience and ability to manage and prioritize tasks and priorities
Analysis and problem assessment/solving skills
