Finance Director, Australia & New Zealand.

The Finance Director, Australia and New Zealand, reporting to the Asia Senior Finance Director, is responsible for leading that region’s finance organization.  Leadership entails safeguarding the company’s assets and ensuring proper controls/compliance with internal and external financial policies, as well as executing and delivering against strategic regional initiatives including revenue management implementation, cost savings efforts, and P&L delivery.

The role should strive to provide ‘best in class’ business partnership and analytical support to each regional president.

Additionally, this role also serves as the leader for the finance team of the entire region and is therefore responsible for regional people management and talent development activities, including recruiting, individual career development, regional capability building, and succession planning. 

Salary Range: $190,000 - $220,000 + Superannuation

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safeguard company assets and ensure strong internal control environment.

2. Adhere to Global financial policies and internal control requirements; oversee the implementation of audit recommendations.

3. Execute Corporate Tax strategies and ensure statutory/tax compliance for all clusters in the region.

4. Interact with managers and staff from the Treasury, Corporate Accounting, General Accounting, Tax and Legal Departments.

5. Deliver the regional Finance and Share Objectives for each fiscal year and during five year strategic planning periods.

6. Deploy the regional budget across the Clusters, manage regional roll-ups, review and course correct as necessary the S&OP consolidation and ensure adherence to global policies.

7. Review overall region and cluster monthly results. Manage, analyze, and control the profitability analysis process and explain any deviations versus budget and recommend corrective measures.

8. Lead projects for the region including acquisition activity and strategic plan development. 

9. Function as a source of financial expertise, business expertise, business knowledge and problem solving capabilities to assure sound analysis and formulation of action plans to deliver the regional objectives.

10. Manage financial training across the region executing the Global Finance Excellence Program for all Finance employees in the region.

11. Develop Finance talent across the region including MS&D, recruiting, team development and coaching. Responsible for Management Succession and Development for the Commercial finance teams.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

1.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 10+ years relevant

experience Or Advanced degree with 8 years of experience.

2. Demonstrated analytical skillset and financial statement management

3. Ability to globally travel 33% of the time

Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

1. Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance

2. Proven ability to develop and inspire teams 

3. Experience working in a global environment
