Analyst, Data Analytics Governance

As the the Data and Analytics Governance Analyst you will work closely with BPT and business stakeholders to improve the accessibility, use and business governance of enterprise data assets.

You will contribute to the implementation and maintenance of robust and sustainable Data & Analytics governance processes and procedures, stewards data and analytics governance best practices, partnering with the data governance team to sustain their adoption for continuous improvement and effectiveness of enterprise data assets governance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Acts as custodian of the enterprise data governance program metrics design and measurement, perform regular monitoring and reporting of those, is empowered to drive continuous improvement, accuracy and relevance of those metrics

  • Works with Data Strategists in DST teams to map data requirements into the enterprise data ecosystem, identify gaps, enforce data governance standard practices, guide the exploitation of the correct global processes for creation, maintenance and use of enterprise data global sources

  • Perform regular audits of EDC metadata and glossaries to analyze and fix inconsistencies of key data points in the EDC environments under EDC librarian’s coordination

  • Steward EDC capabilities integration with GIM delivery and governance processes: ensure EDC tasks are performed when new data assets are delivered or existing data assets are enhanced

  • Identify synergies and opportunities across the business reporting self service workstreams to drive enterprise information re-usability and consistency and enhance the quality of business reporting and analytics insights

  • Contribute to regular self service reporting program audits and related follow up action plans

  • Contribute to data governance initiatives and action plans as relevant on demand

  • Data and reporting governance standard processes and procedures documentation

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Operations or related degree

  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in enterprise business reporting or data governance

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Ability to analyze and understand the data lifecycle to assess data governance requirements and impacts

  • Critical thinking, analytic skills and data storytelling

  • Knowledge of data governance principles is essential

  • Knowledge of data governance best practices, experience in implementing industry standards is a plus

  • Ability to build effective relationships to partner with different business and BPT stakeholders

  • Good communication and presentation skills to engage effectively with business and BPT partners in person and virtually.

  • Highly self motivated and directed, team-oriented, comfortable with working in a collaborative environment 

  • Familiarity with working in a global team or in an international environment is a plus

Job Requirements:

  • Full time role

  • The role is part of a global team which operates from different locations. Majority of the D&A governance team members are based in US however a significant part of the interactions with the rest of the team as well as with the relevant business partners is expected to happen virtually.

  • Remote work is available once a week for eligible associates
