Associate Manager, Marketing Operations and Technology

In this role you would be responsible for the SCJ WAY Operations. The Marketing Operations & Technology team owns the marketing ecosystem and has these priorities:

  • Step change our effectiveness by building a repeatable marketing model,
  • Step change our speed by ensuring the wiring cross-functionally and global to local is “right” and with as few touches as necessary
  • Create competitive advantage by piloting and experimenting with next gen marketing, media, and conversion tools.

The key outcomes will be: marketers who are more capable of creating, adapting and adopting our brand stories to build our brands (in a repeatable, predictive manner); a marketing operating model that is efficient, effective, drives speed to market and provides an efficient governance model to ensure we build and protect our brands and the corporate SCJ brand legacy; and, a marketing employee work experience that achieves the “SCJ experience” ambition.

This Associate Manager – Marketing Operations & Technology (SCJ Way Operations) role is focused on raising the capability level of marketers worldwide to leverage the SCJ Way of Commercializing processes to build brands locally and grow market share. This role reports to the Manager of BOS/IGP and focuses on these responsibilities:

  • Expert on The SCJ Way of Commercializing processes within the annual planning framework
  • Expert on how to use the Brand Operating System (BOS) to execute The SCJ Way of Commercializing processes
  • Partners with Learning & Development on change management and on-going learning agenda
  • Provides business use end-user support/coaching on effective execution of The SCJ Way of Commercializing as an operating model and the use of the system
  • Drives ongoing improvement of The SCJ Way of Commercializing phases based on analysis from reporting, tracking, compliance and from user input
  • Business interface with BPT for fixes, improvements or additions to The SCJ Way of Commercializing processes

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Quickly build expert knowledge of the SCJ Way of Commercializing processes and workflows
  • User Management:
    • Drive adoption and capability of The SCJ Way of Commercializing processes in all local markets
    • Leader of The SCJ Way of Commercializing in the Champions Network; driving improvement via the network
    • Ensure the right people have the right roles to perform The SCJ Way of Commercializing workflows
    • Manage the SCJ Way of Commercializing process SLAs, process escalations; task reassignment activities for all The SCJ Way of Commercializing workflows

  • Analytics and Optimization:
    • Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency and compliance related to The SCJ Way of Commercializing
    • Monitor key metrics and run reports to track process progress of The SCJ Way of Commercializing and wire with organization to keep on service level agreement (SLA)

  • Interface with Business & BPT (Technology team)
    • With Business to qualify new or revised business requirements
    • With BPT to help solve business user issues, address minor enhancements opportunities

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • BA in Business management (minimum), advanced degree preferred
  • 2-4 years of brand management experience

Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • An understanding of equity marketing activities at the cluster level
  • Exposure to Global marketing is preferred
  • Cross-functional team experience is advantageous
  • Demonstrated success in participating on cross-functional teams and influencing outcomes
  • Strong analytical skills
  • High sense of urgency
  • Passion for making a difference and helping the broader team win
  • Masters complexity quickly and is adept at explaining complexity to others
  • A collaborative problem-solver
