This Associate Manager, Engineer Generalist will provide Engineering and Supply Chain representation within project teams that develop, commercialize, and launch new and restaged items made at 3rd party manufacturers and/or molded parts suppliers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the Engineering/Supply Chain lead to new/restage product teams for assigned projects, including molded parts within the NA Region
Partner with Procurement and Global/ Regional Technical functions to evaluate potential suppliers’ capabilities, equipment, manufacturing processes
Interact with Marketing Commercialization representatives and relevant Supply chain functions
Support creation of technical documents necessary to preliminary check manufacturing feasibility and receive quotation
Manage, troubleshoot, and implement new molds/production lines at SCJ suppliers
Lead efforts to determine manufacturing feasibility
Responsible for estimating MEA amounts and capital project execution. Support start-up efforts
Coordinate activities and plans to finalize Production line qualification and start up, ensuring strong socialization and follow up with Management
Lead activities for engineering projects and ensuring strong technical support at suppliers
Serve as Engineering/Supply Chain interface for other key areas including RD&E, Finance, Marketing, & other SCJ Manufacturing sites
Liaise with the technical team to validate process and conduct process capability studies
Promote and support lean activities and waste reductions
Lead process improvement activities as well as support skill development within Engineering External Manufacturing team
Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering is preferred
Minimum of 5 years of Manufacturing/Technical experience with robust understanding of manufacturing operations technologies, capabilities and process limitations
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Master’s Degree in mechanical or chemical engineering
Experience in Contract Manufacturing environment and/or molding operation in FMCG industry
Project management and process improvement
Excellent communication, leadership skills and strong team player
Knowledge of Quality Standards
Knowledge of Electrical devices technology and assembly process
Ability to deal with complexity and manage ambiguity
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Mobility is strongly preferred
Job Requirements:
Approximately 25% travel required
This position is eligible for remote work 1 day a week
