Associate Manager, Global Security - Projects & Systems

The Associate Manager, Global Security Systems works with the Global Security Team to identify, design, and implement technologies that support S.C. Johnson operations globally. This position represents Global Security as the technology and project lead to other S.C. Johnson departments, contractors, and other third parties. Employee must establish relationships with a range of stakeholders to ensure compliance of policy, standards, and necessary collaboration for effective physical security systems.

Job Details:

Projects:

  • Develop global architecture standards for physical security technologies
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and system configuration documentation for global security technologies
  • Work in conjunction with other global departments (IT, Legal, HR, Risk, and others) to ensure security technology architecture is aligned with corporate standards and policies
  • Ensure security technology is identified and implemented to support business unit needs and address any deficiencies identified by regional security managers
  • Responsible for design, project management, system installation, and oversight of security systems globally
  • Responsible for ensuring the availability and support for all security technologies:
    • Access Control
    • CCTV
    • Intrusion Detection
    • Badging
    • Reporting Databases
    • Communication Systems – radio, VOIP, translation services
    • VIP systems
    • RFID
    • Turnstiles
    • And others as needed
  • Track project progress against milestones, issue status reports and escalate issues as necessary to regional security managers or senior director of global security
  • Apply CPTED principles when appropriate and permitted
  • Perform job/project monitoring, safety inspections, and document (frequency determined by project scope and safety hazards as identified with SCJ Safety Health and Environment [SHE] Manager)
  • Support regional security managers with site assessments as needed

Maintenance:

  • Manages 3rd party security integrator and other contractors responsible for installing and servicing security systems, equipment, and software in Racine and surrounding areas
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and work with team to implement as approved by security team
  • Support access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems globally

Operations:

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining capital budget
  • Create and execute Request for Proposals (RFP) as required for security team as it relates to projects, maintenance, or operations in accordance with Global Procurement requirements
  • Self-research new technologies and solutions

    Other Responsibilities:

  • Assist regional security managers with policy development, training, and investigations as needed
  • Develop, maintains and manages emergency response and business continuity planning for security systems
  • Domestic and International travel as needed – 25%

Skill Sets Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of project management experience
  • Integrity and confidentiality
  • Solid understanding, experience, and ability to read and develop building plans and as-builts
  • Detailed and organized
  • Experience managing complex projects domestically and globally
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
  • Ability to balance priorities and communication between multiple teams, departments, and regions worldwide
  • Possess the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information while maintaining confidentiality
  • Flexibility to support projects in multiple time zones, shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Self-motivator and thrives in a complex, non-structured environment
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

    Preferred Experience/Certifications:

  • 5+  years of experience with security and life safety systems installation and design is preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification
  • Experience in construction, engineering, or related business field of study
  • AutoCAD
  • OSHA 30
