Associate Manager, Global Supply Chain Strategy & Capabilities

The Associate Manager, Global Supply Chain Strategy & Capabilities is responsible for key North America Logistics Optimization projects. Project lead responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope; overseeing all aspects of the project. Key aspects include but are not limited to setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities and monitor/ summarize the progress of the project. The successful candidate will work directly with the Program Manager to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or related business discipline   
  • 5+ years of direct/relevant experience in the Logistics or Supply Chain field OR an advanced degree and 3+ years of relevant experience in the Logistics or Supply Chain field

Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Experience in 3PL transitions
  • Proficient in Microsoft PP & Projects
  • Familiarity with our current 3PL provider & future 3PL provider
  • Strong understand of Distribution Center Operations
  • Efficient time management skills
  • Solid Analytical, Communication and Leadership qualities

Job Requirements:

  • Full-time, office environment
  • Some domestic travel
