Associate Manager, Processing Engineer
Racine, Wisconsin Job ID 20260 ApplyThe Associate Manager, Process Engineer is expected to have a sound understanding of process technology in aerosols, liquid filling & other technologies. They will be using this knowledge to develop process scale up plans & qualify manufacturing lines for various new product development projects. They are expected to concurrently manage multiple project elements and a variety of project activities with shifting priorities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Contribute to the development of innovative new products
Understand the functional properties, proper use, and the environmental impact of ingredients
Assist with experiments to scale up laboratory qualified formulations and processes and establish viable manufacturing processes
Perform trials and testing to support small-scale product preparations for internal testing, small consumer testing, and process validation
Demonstrate skills in experimental design and statistics to identify alternative process and validate preferred approaches to meet business and project objectives
Author process instructions through collaboration with manufacturing engineers internally and externally
Follow good laboratory practices and all safety regulations
Execute experiments to evaluate the performance attributes of products
Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and 5+ years of documented experience in Consumer Product Process Development or Master’s Degree with at 3+ years of this same experience
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Sound knowledge and demonstrated application of fundamental Chemical Engineering principles, including strong problem-solving ability
Demonstrated experience qualifying manufacturing lines globally
Demonstrated experience in aerosol & liquid processing
Able to work on projects independently
Stay at the forefront of product innovations and trends so that new technologies can be leveraged in new products and new product packaging
Proficiency with Designs of Experiment
Process development experience
Technically advanced
Highly motivated
Self-starter who can apply their skills to a diverse, challenging, fast-paced team environment
Solid interpersonal, communication, and team skills to contribute to project and team needs
