Associate Manager, Procurement - Project Management, Lifestyle Brands

The Associate Manager, Procurement – Project Management, Lifestyle Brands (LSB) will act as Procurement lead to support the launch of key brands of products in North America and Europe.  You will serve as a member of a cross-functional team dedicated to creating and launching innovation for the brands and will lead multiple, highly complex projects.  You may also lead strategic projects to support improvements in LSB procurement operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the implementation of procurement sourcing strategies across raw materials, packaging, and contract manufacturing to support the launch of the brand in North America 

  • Lead procurement responsibilities for the brand’s launch team, managing multiple innovation projects of high complexity

  • Collaborate on sourcing strategy development, where required, with Global Portfolio teams across all categories and follow Global Sourcing Strategies where existing

  • Provide overall supply chain perspective and inputs to all projects in partnership with various supply chain teams

  • Leverage SCJ HQ resources where possible to ensure product launches align with total company level strategies

  • Lead supplier risk assessment process during development phase of each project

  • Manage suppliers in commercialization phase to deliver against project milestones and drive weekly team meetings with key suppliers to ensure accountability 

  • Partner with Global Portfolio teams to define commercial terms, in alignment with Global Sourcing Strategies (pricing, capital, supply assurance, quality, etc.)

  • Align with Brand and Corporate Sustainability strategies into sourcing plans to help ensure we are leading edge in CPG sustainability

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operation Management, Engineering, or Finance or relevant military experience considered in lieu of degree requirements

  • 5+ years of work experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field

  • 2 years of project management experience

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Project Management, Supplier Management, Manufacturing and New Product Commercialization experience

  • Procurement experience within Consumer Goods Industry  

  • Proven track record in building relationships and strategic alliances internally and externally with a focus on collaboratively influencing teams to meet objectives

  • Strong interpersonal communication, organization and analytical skills

  • Strong financial acumen and stakeholder influencing skills

  • Ability to think strategically and objectively with an aptitude for building viable action plans

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time and under tight timelines 

  • Ability to analyze and assimilate relevant data into recommendations and decisions

  • Ability to manage ambiguity

  • Ability to collaborate cross functionally and interface with multiple levels of both internal and external organizations

Job Requirements:

  • 10-15% travel required

  • Remote work is available once a week for eligible employees
