The Manager, Engineering will lead and plan chemical processing design engineering activities for global projects and demonstrate technical excellence to ensure that the goals and objectives of projects are accomplished in the prescribed time frame and within the budget. You'll drive the development and implementation of Process Engineering design and equipment standards and specification globally and provide technical guidance and recommendations to regional engineering sites for installing and qualifying new manufacturing processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the development of engineering design basis and specifications, Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and P&ID’s, equipment and instrumentation list, and manufacturing procedures for new production processes by following the SCJ Engineering Work Process
Identify new commercially available processing & utility equipment and technology that serve S. C. Johnson’s global business plan
Support process engineering design activities for the manufacturing facilities, which including major capital projects, equipment upgrades, facilities expansion and/or upgrades, specification and system
Review project proposals and initiative plans to confirm engineering design viability
Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or military experience considered in lieu of education requirement
7+ years of experience in the CPG, Food/Beverage, or Pharmaceutical Industries
Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Masters Degree in Engineering preferred
Strong chemical unit operation and continuous inline mixing chemical process, such as skid design and fabrication knowledge and experience, primarily in manufacturing
Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
Strong oral and written communication skills with international teams
Balance team and individual responsibilities to fosters group commitments to goals and objectives
Understands business implications of decisions; aligns work with strategic goals
Displays original thinking, creativity and resourcefulness which generate innovative approaches and ideas
Able to identify, recommend and influencing objectives, and developing a course of action to deliver objective results
Success in developing, implementing global project plans and initiatives. Display strong competencies in communicating risks and mitigation plans to executive stake holders
Experience with continuous process powder handling, emulsification
Strong knowledge and experience in driving TPM Early Management methodology and Lean Manufacturing
International project implementation experience is plus
Experience in PSM (Process Safety Management)
Experience in leading Safety, Health and Environment activities is preferred
International travel is required
Remote work is available once a week for eligible employees
