Summary:
The position of Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, Commercial reports to the Director, FP&A, Marketing and provides financial leadership and business decision support to the North America Consumer Brands business unit. This position works closely with the RD&E and Marketing organization providing business decision support on new product innovation, general financial analysis and also leads budgeting, reporting and controls.
This is an onsite role in Racine, WI
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides financial leadership in support of NA RD&E functions. Collaborates with VP and Division Heads to manage expenses, prioritize new product investments across categories, and execute the long-term strategic roadmap for the RD&E org structure.
Supports key business initiatives and influences decision making while also providing on-going financial reporting and commentary to business partners.
Work with the Business Finance Managers on new product development analysis.
Supports month end/year end close, key monthly accounting activities, and the annual functional budget process for NA RD&E.
Partners with the Tax Department in support of the annual research & development tax credit process, ad hoc requests, and ensuring costs assigned to RD&E cost centers qualify as R&D costs.
Provides RD&E accounting support to the organization, including ensuring strong internal controls and accounting guidance on expense vs. capital spend as well as what costs can be applied to R&D vs other functions (marketing, supply chain, etc).
Additional project work in support of North America Commercial finance.
Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree (Accounting or Finance preferred) and at least 8+ years of related Finance experience or Advanced degree (Accounting or Finance preferred) with at least 5 + years of related Finance experience.
Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Experience with SAP and BPC.
Strong organization and analytical skills.
Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels within the organization.
Proven, successful track record showing steady increase in responsibility.
Ability to work cross-functionally and make meaningful contributions to a team. Ability to influence and effectively collaborate to achieve objectives and produce results.
Job Requirements:
Full time position in Racine with occasional travel to Chicago required (no overnights).
Remote work is available once a week for eligible employees.
This position is eligible for domestic relocation
