Manager, Global Category Analytics

Job Details:

This position exists to enable the building of Global Marketing capabilities including:

  • Strategic Pricing initiatives that will lead to the identification of at least a point of growth for our global categories each year. 
  • Building the business acumen of SCJ’s teams around the world through the creation and support of key capabilities such as NPD forecasting and business driver decomposition

This position will need to wire to the appropriate global, cross-functional & commercialization teams to build these new capabilities at SCJ. Primary audiences are Sr. Director Global NRM, Sr. Director Global Customer Marketing, Global Category VP's, & Local VP's/GM's/Marketing teams. 

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Will support the creation of next generation pricing capabilities focused on identifying the drivers of consumer willingness to pay for SCJ products to influence our overall pricing strategy, innovation workstreams and communication needs
    • Lead the development of new commercialization capabilities (Consumption Forecasting, New Product Forecasting, etc…) that result in improved forecast accuracy and the ability to react more rapidly to address emerging issues and take advantage of emerging tailwinds
    • Responsible to set the agenda, with Category VP’s and functional leaders, that will drive growth from the NRM and drive adoption of new analytic capabilities at the global and local level
    • Responsible to determine the wiring and ways of working to identify how research work flows across teams
    • Responsible to create the tool box of research processes and methods that are fast, cost-effective, and predictive in market

    Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field; MBA or advanced degree in research and statistical field preferred
    • 7+ years experience in Marketing Analytics/Insights

    Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:

    • Comprehensive understanding of tools & techniques in the areas of pricing/consumer value, marketing mix, forecasting, assortment optimization, etc…      
    • Excellent leadership skills, team management experience to coach and mentor a large team
    • Global experience/exposure
    • High sense of urgency
    • Leadership of cross-functional team
    • Demonstrated team leadership and development
    • Ability to define root cause factors from data, experience and judgment

    Job Requirements:

    • Position is Full -Time
    • 10-15% global travel is possible
