As the Manager of Risk Management, you will report to the Sr. Director, Risk Management.  You will have the responsibility for the placement of SC Johnson’s global and domestic insurance programs, including exposure data collection and claims management. The Risk Manager will also serve as the liaison with international subsidiaries pertaining to local policy placements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Subject matter expert to various business units and business partners to include providing guidance on insurance policy coverage and contract interpretation pertaining to insurance
  • Claims Management: responsible for oversight of claims by the TPA for general liability, auto liability and stock through put, and international casualty; including oversight of quarterly claim reviews for all lines of coverage
  • Provide guidance on contractual risk transfer with third parties
  • Insurance budget planning

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Risk Management, Finance or Business Administration preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in casualty, property risk management and claims

Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Previous experience in Corporate Risk Management, International Risk Management and Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interface with all levels of employees (subsidiary and corporate levels)
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task with minimal supervision, maintaining confidential information in all aspects of the job
  • Keen attention to detail and analytical ability
  • Public speaking ability
  • Strategic planning experience
  • ARM or CPCU designation a plus
  • Knowledge of SAP a plus

Job Requirements:

  • Full time
  • Travel 1-2 times per year
  • Remote work is available once a week for eligible employees
