ABOUT THE ROLE
The Manager, Strategic Quality Initiatives will lead strategic Global Supply Chain Quality programs including the workstream supporting the development and implementation processes for how manufacturers will report chemicals of interest from global regulatory landscape evolvement. Leading this Global Regulatory Initiative and other transformational Quality value initiatives, requires change leadership and expert stakeholder management skills to help create the future quality supply chain integration points with our cross functional organization. As part of the Global Supply Chain Quality Department, you’ll program manage major cross-functional, cross-business unit, and/or cross-regional corporate initiatives. Programs could involve all quality supply chain functions and encompass multiple project workstreams. The Program Manager will ensure individual workstreams are deconflicted, risks are properly escalated and resolved, and senior stakeholders are enrolled and briefed on program status. This position will play a pivotal role in driving the successful transformation of global reporting and maintenance processes anchored in product data management and product lifecycle management capabilities. You will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategy to improve efficiency, accuracy and speed of processes to support our internal and external corporation needs. This position will report into the Quality Supply Chain department and will be accountable during the project to the Senior Director, Global Supply Chain Quality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead strategic, transformational Quality initiatives from concept design, through detailed feasibility analysis and business case development to approval from Corporate leaders in conjunction with Global Supply Chain Executive team that enables the business to win in market
Design and develop global and regional network/functional strategies and roadmap to shape a best-in-class quality supply chain with a sustained competitive advantage by leveraging internal and external assets, identifying cost improvements and enabling growth through a deep understanding of the business requirements, external trends and relevant supply chain innovation
Ensure quality design serves all BU needs by understanding their needs (agility, competitiveness, growth etc.) and gain buy-in from functional and BU stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to enroll and engage project leaders and cross functional peers/SMEs/team members to develop and align on program plans
Build robust governance model, project implementation and risk mitigation plans and budgets in conjunction with Regional Supply Chain and cross functional teams
Execute strategic initiatives on time and in cost with minimum disruption to existing business
Define data requirements, resources and timing to build business case and assess feasibility
Identify risks and opportunities and assess feasibility accordingly
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Supply Chain or related business discipline OR military experience considered in lieu of education requirement
5+ years of related experience is required with proven experience across a number of Operations/Supply Chain roles
PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
Demonstrated experience across multiple supply chain functions with and emphasis on strategy and/or change project/program leadership roles in a multinational FMCG company and/or in operations practice in a strategic consulting company
Working knowledge of interpreting regulatory requirements along with implementing solutions in meeting those requirements
Advanced degree – MBA in Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Operations, or Data Analytics
Strategic Change/Thought Leadership
Deep Program / Project Management experience
Dealing with Ambiguity
Demonstrated ability to lead others and influence through others
Effective Communication, written, verbal, impactful presentations
Business and Financial Acumen
Proven ability to work well under pressure and deliver results in high urgency and high risk situations
Proven Experience in supply chain integration, PLM and MDG
Familiarity with ERP systems (ECC & S4 Hanna) and data governance principles.
