ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Manager, Supply Chain Sustainability is accountable for the delivery of the Carbon and Waste pillars across the global supply chain inclusive of all BUs and regions. This role works closely with Corporate Sustainability, Corporate Facilities, Manufacturing, SHE, Engineering, Procurement (Direct and Indirect), and Suppliers. It requires strong collaboration, stakeholder alignment, and influencing to define targets, glidepaths and actions in areas of Carbon and Waste reduction. The role will engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure our supply chain meets the high standards set forth by SC Johnson’s policies and minimum requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Carbon
Partner with key senior stakeholders globally to support the ongoing strategy development of the Carbon pillar inclusive of Scopes 1, 2 and 3.
Coordinate Carbon reduction efforts across all BUs and regions. Oversee progress, monitor and track results, create standards & process and coordinate across all sites to deliver the goals.
Develop long-term strategic goals through analysis of key data, leveraging the supply chain and cross-functional partners. Create detailed glidepaths for achieving promised results.
Serve as the SCJ expert on Scope 1, 2 and 3 Carbon measurement and reduction opportunities inclusive of use of onsite generation, energy reduction, RECs, Offsets, and Renewable Natural Gas. Continually review and revise policies and practices pertaining to the end-to-end supply chain inclusive of our manufacturing sites and our suppliers.
Define, implement, and support supplier programs and Life Cycle Assessments as needed.
Communicate and socialize updates across the organization to all stakeholders.
Waste
Partner with key senior stakeholders globally to support the ongoing strategy development of the Waste pillar.
Coordinate Waste reduction efforts across all BUs and regions. Oversee progress, monitor and track results, create standards & process and coordinate across all sites to deliver the goals.
Develop long-term strategic goals through analysis of key data, leveraging the supply chain and cross-functional partners. Create detailed glidepaths for achieving promised results.
Serve as the SCJ expert on Waste measurement and reduction opportunities inclusive of diversion, reuse/recycle, and incineration. Continually review and revise policies and practices pertaining to the end-to-end supply chain inclusive of our manufacturing sites and offices.
Communicate and socialize updates across the organization to all stakeholders.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Supply Chain/Business or equivalent degree or military experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement
7+ years relevant experience with Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, or cross functional experience in Supply Chain, Safety/Health/Environment, Procurement, or related areas
PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS:
Education: MBA Preferred
Advanced end to end project management skills, including risk and opportunity management
Experience leading cross functional projects against demanding timelines
Strong knowledge of global supply chains within a fast-paced Consumer Packaged Goods company
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
Demonstrated influence and negotiation skills
Strong strategic orientation; experience in development of corporate strategy
Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
Ability to effectively communicate new ideas to audiences ranging from team members to Senior Leadership
Demonstrated sense of urgency and decisiveness; takes prompt action to accomplish goals; proactively attempts to influence events rather than passively accept outcomes.
Demonstrated high level of curiosity, creativity, and strong problem-solving skills.
Able and willing to transition quickly to different tasks, to shift priorities and modify actions to meet changing job demands
Experience working with a global team
Experience evaluating financial data in order to support business decision making
