Product Marketing Manager

In this role as Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Product portfolio strategy and profitability across all SCJ categories and brands
  • Conduct market analysis and voice-of-customer research to influence all strategy
  • Lead product development and related end-to-end commercialization processes
  • Be the primary connection between SCJ Global Consumer Brands and SCJ Professional for all products and categories that may be sold in business-to-business (B2B) commercial distribution
  • Translate Global Consumer Brands and Lifestyle Business Unit Retail insights into value propositions for “away from home” commercial Users and their applications

  • Define and create the optimal product portfolio for SCJ’s consumer brands sold within B2B commercial North American markets
  • Partner with the cross-functional teams (Commercialization, Research & Development, Regulatory, Product Supply, Customer Marketing, and Sales) to establish immediate and longer-term portfolio goals
  • Work in tandem with Project and Global Commercialization Manager through the SCJ end-to-end product development stage-gate process
  • Perform ongoing product, segment, competitive, and industry analysis to ensure the product portfolio meets/exceeds market demands
  • Partner with the cross-functional teams (Commercialization, Research & Development, Regulatory, Product Supply, Customer Marketing, and Sales) to establish immediate and longer-term portfolio goals


  • BS or BA degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field
  • 5+ years portfolio management and marketing experience commercializing and promoting products


  • This role requires broad marketing experience: product management, new product ideation and development, translating user insights into viable business strategies, alignment of cross-functional team/management, and partnering with internal/external resources.
  • Current experience managing and working within stage-gate processes
  • Working knowledge and experience with consumer product goods sold within B2B commercial distribution
  • Flexible and open-minded towards creating a new business model.  Experience in a start-up business a plus.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs


  •  Flexibility to work beyond routine schedules where necessary
  •  10% travel, overnight
