The Senior Analyst, Chemical Processing Site Engineer will support chemical processing engineering activities for capital projects, demonstrating technical excellence to ensure that the goals and objectives of the projects are accomplished in the prescribed time frame and within the budget. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing capital projects and leading manufacturing operational improvement efforts to assure a safe, high quality and a performance working environment.
This role will collaborate with cross functional partners in maintenance, manufacturing operations, SHE, learning & development, and lean organizations to ensure new or changed process are implemented with precision. You’ll continually look to eradicate losses, build new capabilities and/or implement new technologies, primarily focused on Safety, Quality, Cost and Productivity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the preparation of engineering design basis and specifications, Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and P&ID’s, equipment and instrumentation list, and manufacturing procedures for new production processes by utilizing processing methodology and following the SCJ Engineering Work Process
Support new commercially available processing & utility equipment and technology that serve the sites business plan
Collaborate with R&D, procurement, and process development during the new product development process to ensure all new product specifications are aligned with manufacturing capabilities within the site
Assure compliance of SCJ Global Standards and Regulations that may apply
Investigates, drives, and assists in implementation of cost saving projects, manufacturing process optimization, business process optimization, and productivity improvements related to existing processes
Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or military experience considered in lieu of education requirement
3+ years of work experience in the CPG, Food/Beverage, Chemical, or Pharmaceutical Industries
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Experience in PSM (Process Safety Management)
Continuous Improvement – Strong knowledge and experience in TPM Early Management methodology and Lean Manufacturing
Cost estimating experience to establish project budgets
Project Management – Develop project plans, budgets, timing and communicate status changes and risks throughout the project
Fiscal accountability for project budgets and spend forecasting
Technical experience with piping systems, tanks, heat exchanger, pumps continuous process powder handling, emulsification, inline blending, and utility systems
2D / 3D CAD systems
Problem Solving - Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
Communication - Strong oral and written communication skills
Teamwork - Balance team and individual responsibilities to fosters group commitments to goals and objectives
Business Acumen - Understands business implications of decisions; aligns work with strategic goals
Innovation - Displays original thinking, creativity and resourcefulness which generate innovative approaches and ideas
Dealing with Ambiguity - Able to identify, recommend and influencing objectives, and developing a course of action to deliver objective results
Full Time, 1st Shift. Occasional off-shift flexibility for night or weekend work as projects require
Travel expected: up to 10%. Some international travel may be required
