Senior Analyst, Excel Macros/VBA Developer

The primary purpose of this Senior Analyst, Customer Fulfillment - Automation (VBA, Macros) and Analytics role is to provide analytic and continuous improvement expertise to the Customer Fulfillment teams responsible for order management from order to delivery.  Through the application of lean methodology, the Sr. Analyst will identify opportunities to improve and standardize processes.  This will include the development and maintenance of Excel Macros/Visual Basic Application (VBA) scripts that interface with SAP and other tools for the automation of rule-based order management tasks.  In support of optimized order execution and customer management, the Sr. Analyst is responsible for the production and analysis of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Operational Excellence Team and Lean Champions to formulate solutions for continuous improvement of order processing to reduce waste & increase efficiency
  • Identify opportunities to implement Macros/VBA scripts or other technology to decrease manual order touches and automate processes
  • Lead solution delivery of identified continuous improvement opportunities including analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation
  • Document implemented continuous improvement solutions for effective maintenance and sustainability
  • Ensure efficient execution of rule-based order processing with the development of scripts to automate repetitive tasks
  • Produce and analyze Customer and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting; provide insight on variances and recommend actions to mitigate
  • Identify opportunities to automate the production of Customer and KPI reporting for accessibility effectiveness
  • Document standardized processes and procedures to ensure sustainable adherence
  • Provide escalation support to Collaboration and Centralized teams for issues that require additional subject matter expertise to resolve
  • Sarbanes Oxley Act Reporting (SOAR) reporting; ensure compliance and audit readiness
  • International Organization for Standardization (ISO); maintain consistent standards and ensure annual audit readiness
  • Ensure accurate set up and maintenance of Customer Fulfillment specific material and customer master data to facilitate accurate processing of customer orders
  • Ensure proper execution of internal system tools to achieve the goals of product supply and customer demand in order fulfillment

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • SAP scripting or similar capability
  • Advanced level in Excel including Macros, Pivots and Power Query
  • 1+ Years of Visual Basic Application (VBA) Experience
  • Knowledge of Lean methodology and focused on continuous improvement

Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Proven analytical capability with ability to draw conclusions and share insights
  • Previous experience in Customer Service or related field
  • Ability to work independently to prioritize tasks under the pressure of competing demands
  • Understanding of end-to-end Consumer Product Goods (CPG) Supply Chain desired
  • Strategic mindset
  • Flexibility/adaptability/respecting deadlines
  • Strong communication written and verbal (all levels of organization)
  • Attention to detail

Job Requirements:

  • Full-time 1st Shift
  • Position may require limited travel within North America (may include overnight)
