Senior Analyst - Environment, Health and Safety
Racine, Wisconsin Job ID 21091 ApplyThe Senior Analyst, SHE serves as the site subject matter expert regarding OSHA’s Process Safety Management (PSM) standard and EPA’s Risk Management Plan (RMP) rule. You will provide technical leadership for PSM elements such as Management of Change while collaborating with partners in the site’s operations, maintenance and engineering teams to develop competency across the organization and ensure compliance with legal requirements as well as SCJ global standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serves as the process owner for the Management of Change system to evaluate and control potential health and safety hazards and environmental impacts associated with business activity changes
Supports PSM/RMP metric generation, including interpretation of data, and seeks to identify opportunities for improving process safety performance
Collaborates with the site’s engineering and maintenance teams to ensure that required inspections, testing, preventive maintenance activities associated with the site’s high-hazard chemical processes are defined and appropriately documented
Develops and supports deployment of required PSM training, validating the content and ensuring that training objectives are met
Coordinates completion of Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) and periodic PHA revalidations for the site’s covered processes
Manages deployment and validation of corrective and preventive actions associated with PSM/RMP safety compliance audits
Manages development and maintenance of employee training processes associated with PSM/RMP covered processes to ensure that required training is defined, addresses required content and is tracked to completion
Manages incident investigations associated with the uncontrolled release of hazardous substances and partners with site leadership to confirm that improvement opportunities are effectively deployed across the site in a timely manner
Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Fire Protection, Environmental Science or related discipline preferred, or military experience considered in lieu of education requirement
1-3 years of Engineering, Quality, Maintenance or SHE technical responsibility in a manufacturing setting
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Experience in high-hazard chemical process safety management (PSM) like the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration PSM standard or European Seveso Directive
Experience in driving day-to-day ownership of SHE processes to non-SHE program “champions”
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Effective verbal and written communication skills to clearly and concisely present information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Ability to effectively interact with others, establishing open, candid and trusting relationships to create win/win outcomes
Job Requirements:
Full-time core office hours with expectation to be available for occasional nights/weekends
Up to 10% domestic travel may be required
Work in an office environment approximately 50% of time
Work in a manufacturing environment approximately 50% of time
This position is not eligible for remote work
