Telecommunications Network Manager

As the Telecommunications Network Manager, you will own the infrastructure and operations for a large portfolio of telephony services for a diverse population of multi-national corporate users and global manufacturing facilities. You will manage vendor relationships to achieve business objectives within SLAs, work cross-functionally to manage telecom operations, and work with traditional TDM, VoIP, and modern cloud telephony. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Owns the infrastructure and operations for a large portfolio of telephony services for a diverse population of multi-national corporate users and global manufacturing facilities.
• Develops business requirements for voice solutions and delivers using the latest cloud technologies.
• Leads related projects in collaboration with the PMO to deliver crisp and timely updates and communications to business stakeholders regarding the status of targets and deliverables.
• Manages telecom operations in collaboration with partners and vendors.
• Engages telecommunications providers and supporting vendors in managing operations and delivering services globally.
• Drives Communications Lifecycle Management (CLM) / Telecom Expense Management (TEM) targets and deliverables in partnership with our CLM service provider.
• Develops partnerships with the relevant technology, business, operations, and legal managers, gathering and development of project requirements, negotiating with suppliers to obtain best in class pricing and contract terms, including SLAs and conditions.
• Develops and presents recommendations to management based on research of the relevant transaction and suppliers.

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 7 to 10 years of IT work experience including managing team(s) responsible for infrastructure/network/telecommunications operations and L3 support in multi-platform environments.
• 7 to 10 years Telecommunications vendor management and TEM / CLM engagement.
• At least five years of experience in cloud collaboration and telephony technologies.
  

Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:

• Expert level knowledge of network and telecommunications cabling and technical standards.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP and related network protocols support voice communications.
• Customer focus to deliver the best End User Experience with empathy for the customer.
• Ability to work on multiple, complex projects as a project leader and a subject matter expert.
• Microsoft Teams tenant configuration management with cloud migration experience. 
• Design, configuration, and operation with legacy and modern trunk technologies.
• Experience with legacy and modern telephony systems (PBX) and end user devices, phones and conference room equipment.
• Understanding of TCP/IP network protocols with deep knowledge of VoIP protocols, including SIP.
• Experience designing, developing, installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications systems and equipment.
• Experience supporting call center operations, including IVR, queues, call routing, and CRM integration.
• Experience developing requirements and negotiating contracts with external suppliers for Information technology products with a focus on telecommunications and related services.
• Partner with BPT (Internal IT) to develop smart, strategic insights to inform our ideas and measure their effectiveness.
• Strong communication skills and customer service focus.

Job Requirements:

• Full time in Racine, regular hours, etc.
• Remote work is available once a week for eligible employees.
• Flexible hours are occasionally required to meet targets in support of global stakeholders.
• Some international and domestic travel is occasionally expected, but generally < 10% overall.
