This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the world’s leading FMCG companies in its European Headquarter in Rolle (Switzerland, in between Geneva and Lausanne) for a fixed term contract of 12 months for a (preferred) Master’s Degree Graduate (recently graduated or up to 1 year of experience). Once the assignment has been completed, and if successful, you will have the opportunity to work in one of our local European offices (lead locations in France, Germany, Italy, UK; but also possibilities in Spain, Poland, Romania, Czech Republic, or Holland).

ROLE SUMMARY

Marketing our brands sustainability efforts is an important element of our overall brand equity efforts. Many consumers’ purchasing decisions are impacted by a brand’s sustainability footprint – as are retailers merchandising decisions.

As Marketing Intern sustainability, you will be supporting our regional efforts to advance the sustainability commercial strategy in Europe, working closely with our Regional Marketing Commercialization Team based in Rolle but also working with our Local Commercialization and Sales teams to help bring forward our sustainability efforts and commitments, developing consumer focused messaging, delivering appealing trade narratives.  

The role has exposure to the whole business with project opportunities that will have you working cross functionally. You will have the opportunity not just to understand the Marketing function and the part it plays but also have exposure to the other functions and take time to understand the retailers we serve.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this position you will have hands on experience working with our Commercialization teams with exposure to the following key areas: Business Analytics, Strategy, Project Management, creative toolkit amplification, consumer claims, packaging.

  • Managing Market Data Reporting: develop report/interpret and analyze existing data, focusing on the major KPIs.

  • Collecting qualitative and quantitative data (market data, consumer research, internal sales) to support strategies and decisions.

  • Developing competitive understanding through SWOT, action planning, research, and analysis.

  • Collecting and preparing data, presentations, materials for internal and external meetings.

  • Supporting Digital activation messaging, including Social Media campaigns, working closely with our Regional marketing team, and recommending best practice.

  • Supporting the development of sustainability assets for e-commerce, helping to grow that emerging channel with innovative solutions and ideas.

  • Supporting regional and local teams to collect product and packaging data for new and existing products.

  • Assisting team cross functionally with project work as and when required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • BSc or MSc Degree in Business Administration, Marketing Management, Sales or similar.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Will be considered a competitive advantage previous experience (preferable in a FMCG company) with a good/developed knowledge in sustainability.

  • Strong analytical skills and show curiosity to get to the root of a problem and expand your current knowledge.

  • Marketing is a diverse, exciting, and cross-functional role where there are various tasks to complete, therefore creativity is key, we want you to think outside the box and communicate your ideas.

  • It’s important that you have strong communication skills as you will be interacting with various departments within the business in Switzerland and in the European countries.

  • We want you to be proactive in your thinking, taking a real responsibility and ownership for your work by using your initiative to make decisions and be personally responsible for them.

  • You need to be legally eligible to work in Switzerland.

  • Mobile, after the internship, in one (or more) of our key local country location.  Mid and long term: willing to have an international career.
