SC Johnson is currently looking for an Indirect Category Manager - Global Plant Facilities and MRO based in Warsaw, Poland.
Oversee and actively guide the end-to-end sourcing and procurement process for Plant Facilities and MRO categories across multiple sites within the EU region including, but not limited to: MRO, Lubricants, Safety, Plant Facilities and Energy with a spend of ~$25MM.
Guidance the Facilities and MRO Procurement Strategy to establish supply sources, maximize current and future market conditions, and define contingency planning to ensure critical supply needs are met for the EU region;
Provide regional leadership to support end-to-end process with ownership and obligation to procurement strategies throughout planning and execution;
Establish and maintain portfolio of strategic agreements and key supplier relationships within the EU region to maintain risk to SCJ in procuring category materials and services (i.e. pricing, supply, quality, etc.), and evaluation of performance metrics for the categories;
Drive engagement of procurement with the Manufacturing and Engineering teams to optimize value creation and delivery to SCJ;
Oversee high level risk management activities (and gain risk management expertise) for respective category areas
Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with key suppliers, plus oversee supplier performance based on performance objectives;
Oversee Plant Facilities and MRO procurement activities (category and project), including strategic sourcing, supplier management and contract management;
Assess and identify internal customer needs and summarize business requirements as input into regional sourcing efforts;
Proactively engage internal partners to communicate solution recommendations based on category, market, and sourcing information;
Experience you’ll bring:
Education: BA/BS Degree
5+ years of business experience in a relevant business function, with a proven track record.
Experience in Procurement for Plant Facilities and MRO and depth of procurement know-how in key tools such as clean sheets and total cost of ownership preferred.
Market knowledge and awareness of categories and category-specific procurement processes/issues/strategies and future trends.
Strong cross-cultural awareness and leadership capability
Logical and organizational qualification
Project Management credentials

Aptitude to work in matrixed, cross-functional environment
Demonstrated experiences include organizational communication and networking ability, influencing techniques, high level communication, negotiations, and problem evaluation
