Analyst, Cost Accounting

Job Summary:

Responsible for all day-to-day activities of the cost accounting function for a set of Clusters and Categories. Support delivered cost forecast, perform variance analysis between actual & standard costs and conduct financial analysis to assist management in decision making and help deliver the annual budget. This position works under the leadership of the Costing Team Lead and reports to the Asia Pacific Product Supply (APAC PS) Finance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute the Standard cost policy & processes.

  • Perform cost run for new SKU codes and re-roll of standards with 100% accuracy, perform costing data maintenance in SAP.

  • Maintain inter-co data in SAP including delivery cost and mark up and resolve price discrepancies related to inter-co invoices.

  • Support 3rd party manufacturers cost cards maintenance, price variances reconciliation and non-inventory PO’s settlements.

  • Perform timely and accurate month-end closing and provide complete COGS $& DP reconciliation analysis through month-end reporting.

  • Annual Budget and monthly S&OP Forecast of cost of sales comprehensively broken into detailed components with 100% accuracy.

  • Participate to the review of monthly actual Cost of Sales variances, Budget and S&OP Forecast with business partners such as Cluster Finance Director and Business Liaison Director

  • Provide financial support in cost saving projects validation & volume update and any other types of cost analysis, help identifying opportunities and determine cost impact.

  • Define & document regional procedures for all cost accounting activities and drive process excellence initiatives, focus improvement and Kikai initiatives.

  • Perform SOAR controls and ensure full compliance to cost internal controls by timely resolution of control gaps and prepare and provide documentation to internal and external audits.

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Graduate of any business course, preferably Accountancy

  • At least 2 years' work experience in the same function

Work experience in:

  • Manufacturing or consumer goods company or

  • Audit or accounting firms or

  • Product Supply Finance

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to reconcile accounts and transactions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively present financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders

Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Shared Services environment is a plus.

  • Experience in SAP is a plus factor.

  • Proficient in MS Excel, including the ability to use advanced functions and macros.

Job Requirements:

  • Full-time employment

  • Work Hours: 8:00AM or 9:00AM to 5:00PM or 6:00PM (Mondays thru Fridays)

  • Overtime might be required depending on the critical deliverables.
