Job Title: Senior Technician, Entomology

Location: Kota Damansara, Selangor

Department: RD&E

As the Senior Technician, Entomology, you will be responsible for rearing of high-quality insects in support of the entomology research function. The main responsibility is to execute daily rearing activities, in a laboratory setting, in conformance with established protocols & standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Rearing of mosquitos, house flies, cockroaches, and other household pests
• Keep insectary surrounding clean and tidy for day to day rearing operations
• Measure, document, and track insectary operational performance
• Assist the insectary lead in maintaining and enhancing facility operations
• Assist other entomologists with efficacy testing and documentation

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in related fields
• Fluent in English
• Experience in laboratory setting
• Rigorous precision in following standard protocols and adherence with a tightly defined schedule
• Ability and willingness to work partial shifts on weekends and holidays
