ABOUT THE ROLE

The Associate Manager, Manufacturing is accountable for the defined business objectives for the Shipping and Transportation activities across the Waxdale Site. These include Safety, Quality, Environment, Cost, Customer Service, and Morale. Reporting to the Area Manager of MHG, this position works closely with other Plant Support personnel including, Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE), Quality, Production, Learning & Development, Engineering, Facilities and Maintenance, and Planning to deliver results and lead a team of approximately 40 employees across three shifts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Continuous improvement of Warehouse and shipping processes, systems, tools, and team

  • Coach and Develop High Performance Work Teams in a continuous improvement environment.

  • Utilize effective communication channels and skills with other teams, to share information and accomplish goals

  • Balance the prioritization of the needs of the Warehouse/Shipping center, Business, and Production Operations in order to meet department and site goals

  • Ensure compliance with Company, Federal, State, and Local regulations

  • Work with leader to monitor, report and develop actions to deliver on Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • 5+ years relevant work experience with bachelor’s degree, or advanced degree with 3+ years relevant work experience

  • 2+ years of experience in leading teams

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience considered in lieu of degree requirement

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • SAP experience

  • Demonstrated experience working within a continuous improvement environment in the areas of powered industrial vehicle (PIV) safety, production, quality and lean manufacturing principles.

  • Demonstrated ability to positively influence & manage change.

  • Proven ability to lead cost savings initiatives and productivity improvement opportunities.

  • Solid organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to convert goals into action-oriented initiatives, and the wherewithal to execute accordingly.

  • Open, honest communication style with interpersonal and facilitation skills.

  • Demonstrated understanding of root cause analysis, continuous improvement methodologies and team problem-solving.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full time On-site in Racine, WI, with operational support outside of core business hours as needed to support a 24x7 / 365 Manufacturing environment

  • Ability to work in a Manufacturing environment including seasonality, noise, stairs, and ability to lift 50 pounds

  • This role is not eligible for relocation.

  • This role is not eligible for remote work.
