As the Senior Associate, Process Engineer, you will be supporting the Concentrates and Manual Toilet Bowl Cleaner Battlegrounds in Home Cleaning and will be expected to have an understanding and working knowledge of process technology in powder, liquid, gel, and concentrates formats (thermoform sealers, vertical form fill sealers), scale-up, and production support. You will be using this knowledge to develop process scale up plans & qualify manufacturing lines for various new product development projects. You will concurrently manage multiple projects and a variety of RD&E activities with shifting priorities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to the development of innovative new products in Concentrates

  • Understand the functional properties, proper use, and the environmental impact of ingredients

  • Assist with experiments to scale up laboratory qualified formulations and processes and establish viable manufacturing processes

  • Perform trials and testing to support small-scale product preparations for internal testing, small consumer testing, and process validation

  • Demonstrate skills in experimental design and statistics to identify alternative process and validate preferred approaches to meet business and project’s objectives

  • Author process instructions through collaboration with manufacturing engineers internally and externally

  • Follow good laboratory practices and all safety regulations

  • Execute experiments to evaluate the performance attributes of products

  • Represent the processing voice at Tech Reviews for responsible projects

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and at least 4 years of relevant work experience OR Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and 2 years of relevant work experience

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • ​Sound knowledge and demonstrated application of fundamental Chemical Engineering principles, including strong problem-solving ability

  • Demonstrated experience qualifying manufacturing lines globally

  • Demonstrated experience in aerosol, gels, and liquid processing

  • Able to work on projects independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment

  • Stay at the forefront of product innovations and trends so that new technologies can be leveraged in new products and new product packaging

  • Proficiency with Designs of Experiment

  • Process development experience

  • Technically advanced

  • Highly motivated and aptitude to learn new skills

  • Self-starter who can apply their skills to a diverse, challenging, fast-paced team environment

  • Solid interpersonal, communication, and team skills to contribute to project and team needs

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Position is Full-Time, regular business hours, Monday-Friday

  • Office and Pilot work environment: Remote work available once a week for eligible employees

  • Ability to lift 10 – 40 pounds

  • Travel up to 10%
