Associate Manager, Marketing Commercialization

This role is responsible for leading the day-to-day Kabikiller business, and accountable for translating Global strategies into locally relevant go-to-market plans, as well as launching new products, implementing portfolio restages and executing marketing campaigns to grow the business profitability while gaining share and strengthening the brand equity.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead key projects and initiatives for Kabikiller business, providing insights and actions to address problems to solve
  • Contribute to defining the business strategy and translate into a winning go-to market plan
  • Drive commercialization of new products, as well as the sustainability strategy
  • Provide input to Global Marketing on NPD concepts as well as develop local regional base news opportunities
  • Manage scale media planning including co-create/adopt/adapt global marketing assets accordingly  
  • Work closely with Customer Marketing and Sales to optimize customer plans
  • Own S&OP marketing inputs at the country level
  • Grow the business in terms of sale, profits, and share
  • Manage and achieve successful financial outcomes through effective P&L Management and ROI
  • Lead, develop, and coach Sr. Associate

Required skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Prior marketing experience in the CPG industry
  • Global experience/exposure
  • Proven project leadership capability and propensity to grow within brand management and other commercial roles (including sales, customer marketing, and shopper marketing roles)
  • Leadership of cross-functional team
  • Passion for innovation
  • Passionately deliver winning results individually and through others
  • Entrepreneurship and “think like a founder” approach to business
  • Ability to define root cause factors from data, experience and judgment
  • Successful partnerships with agencies and ability to leverage IMC assets into execution
  • High sense of urgency

Job Requirements:

  • Permanent: full time job
  • Work location: Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan
  • Working hours: 9:00-17:30
  • Benefits: Japan full package (social insurances, retirement pension programs, etc.
  • Relocation: It is not currently anticipated
