SC Johnson Europlant is the largest manufacturing site in the EMEA region producing our quality, trusted products such as Duck®, Mr. Muscle®, OFF!®, Raid®, Oust®, Pledge® and Glade®. Each year, more than 300 million products are produced at the site. Opened in 1964, SCJ Europlant is well-known for it's iconic "boomerang" architecture and is located in Mijdrecht centrally between larger cities of Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Utrecht. Sustainability features for the facility, which sends zero manufacturing waste to landfill, include a windmill on-site that contributes to the site's electricity being powered 100 percent by wind energy.

At SCJ Europlant, part of our excellence in safety is managed by our on-site Fire Brigade, fully staffed by SCJ team members.

Facility Features
The iconic "boomerang" concrete sculpture building at SCJ Europlant was designed by the architectural firm Maaskant, Van Dommelen, Kroos and Senf in the early 1960s. The structure towers five meters above a pond filled by 16 natural wells, providing a renewable water supply for fire safety at the plant. Along with this building, which is connected via corridor to the manufacturing facility buildings, our site is recognizable by our windmill which can be seen from miles away, signaling our commitment to making a more sustainable world.
