Role: Associate Manager, Manufacturing Operations

Location: Cairo, Egypt

Overview:

In this role you will be leading the Lean Program for Cairo site and maintaining continues improvement mind set, engaging with the team in identifying Waste and Plan for elimination/reduction as well as partnering with the factory leadership in drawing and executing company strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute Manufacturing Excellence initiatives through its local teams
  • Coach and monitor manufacturing teams with regards to Manufacturing Excellence tools and techniques as required:
    • Process auditing
    • Root Cause Problem Solving
    • Downtime Recording
    • Communication and Visual Management – SIC, Performance boards
    • 5S Tracking
    • KPI & PPI Implementation action process/plans
    • SMED
    • Autonomous Maintenance
  • Lead loss deployment and focused improvement against any and all plant metrics
  • Lead loss teams, kaizen events and problem solving for break-through projects within manufacturing site
  • Support and track savings projects on site
  • Manage and report on Monthly key metrics
  • Focus on Capability development across site – Documentation development and Training Plan Management

Experience you’ll bring:

  • Solid manufacturing experience ideally gained in FMCG industry
  • Bachelor’s degree Industrial/ Mechanical Engineering or related studies
  • Technical knowledge and previous experience with core technologies that would be supporting.
  • Ability to use Microsoft tools (Power BI, Power Automate Etc.)
  • Experience with Digitalization in Manufacturing environment would be considered as advantage
  • Demonstrate ability to utilize lean six sigma tools: VSM, Loss analysis, competency
  • Lean certification would be an advantage
  • Leadership and Management experience
  • Fluent English
