Associate Manager / Data Analytics, Strategic Business Initiatives

This position will focus on North America strategic agenda development and execution, working closely with regional functions to evaluate opportunities around capability building, cost optimization programs, sourcing network design/optimization in alignment with global strategy, and identification/execution of our transformational top initiatives project. The right individual will have exceptional analytical skills and be adept at solving complex problems and creating elegant business solutions.

Primary Accountabilities:

Analyze SCJ data and develop strategies to identify opportunities to enhance our supply chain capabilities

Support modeling and development of data analytics tools of low to moderate complexity

Assist throughout the data and financial model-building process (ex: data preparation, cleansing, normalizing, model validation/scoring)

Assists in identifying short and long-term data and analytics goals related to business objectives

Measure the effectiveness of data and analytics strategies in driving performance improvement

Identify data sources and manage partners, ensuring data quality and adherence to appropriate processes

Develop and automate metrics and reports to analyze E2E supply chain performance

Partner with our financial modeling, planning, commercial and IT functions to ensure opportunities are properly implemented

Partner with specialists to develop, communicate and enforce standards for proper documentation and organization of electronic files, data, and deliverables

Act as a key contributor to all phases of the design and development lifecycle of analytic applications utilizing various BI platforms

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, and lead associated implementation efforts

Collaborate with HR and NA Supply Chain Leadership Team (SCLT) to identify our strategic pillars, in alignment with global strategy, and functional strategies

Collaborate with NA cross functional team to identify/execute North America cost optimization program to deliver on our financial objective and fuel the growth

Maintain clear understanding of SCJ strategic goals (currently, Strategy 2021).  Understand the impact of major workstreams from all areas of SCJ on the goals

Lead Key projects and initiatives through end-to-end project management process, ensuring deliverables, success criteria and timing is clear and executed

Work collaboratively with Global Supply Chain /Global Sourcing on the development and execution of regional sourcing/distribution network optimizations

Partner with procurement and regional Supply chain functions to define regional make vs buy strategies

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

Facilitation – Facilitate development and implementation of data collection processes and tools to include, identifying data elements needed to complete appropriate measurement.

Data analytics – Demonstrates depth of knowledge in data modeling, data transformation & designing analytical data structures including tabular and multi-dimensional

Data management – Strong SQL skills with experience creating complex queries, building stored procedures or creating views to support the data analysis requirements.

Business Intelligence – Experience using data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau)

Problem solver – Strong analytical skills, able to translate complex business requirements into sound solutions

Strategic thinker – Identify gaps/opportunity areas vs our strategic goals and develop an action-based roadmap to

achieve our goals

Project Management - Develops and coordinates project plans, communicates changes and progress, and

completes projects on on-time

Communication - Strong communication skills with multiple levels of the organization

Teamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities which fosters group commitments to goals

and objectives

Business Acumen - Understands business implications of decisions; aligns work with strategic goals

Innovation - Displays original thinking, creativity and resourcefulness which generate innovative approaches

and ideas

Programming (SAS, SQL, Visual Basic etc.)

Experience with Tableau and/or other BI tools

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering with focus on analytic / quantitative skills and a minimum of five years of experience, or an advanced degree and three years of experience, ORmilitary experience considered in lieu of education requirement and five years of experience

Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Must be able to travel 20% Domestic and International
