Associate Manager, Corporate Accounting

The Associate Manager, Corporate Accounting manages the Company’s consolidation accounting and financial statement preparation in support of the worldwide close process for both management and external reporting needs. Additionally, the Associate Manager assists with projects driven by Corporate Tax and Treasury strategies and acquisition integrations, as well as provides day-to-day support for two Sr. Analysts in Corporate Accounting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and communicate monthly worldwide financial statement analysis and commentary to senior Finance leadership
  • Prepare quarterly and annual external financial statements in support of debt covenant requirements and the worldwide audit; partner with external audit team in the year-end close
  • Execute monthly consolidation accounting process and consolidation entries
  • Support Corporate projects, identifying accounting implications, proposed entries, and their overall impact to Company financial statements; partner with team members from Corporate Tax, Corporate Treasury, Shared Service Centers, Global Internal Audit and/or Business Unit Finance
  • Support over 150 subsidiaries with US GAAP accounting and financial policy questions
  • Guide and coach two Sr. Analysts and oversee select responsibilities (i.e. holding company accounting, third-party royalty accounting)

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of accounting/audit experience, with demonstrated understanding and/or experience with Consolidation accounting

Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • CPA (or CPA eligibility)
  • Demonstrates initiative with a strong attention to detail; well organized; strong communication skills with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrates potential and desire for increasing levels of responsibility in the organization
  • Prior experience in Consolidation accounting
  • Prior experience with SAP and BPC
