Summary:

  • Execute innovation projects that fit within a minimum scope threshold:
  • Global Programs: Projects with 2+ regions.
  • Manage Projects across Multiple categories.
  • Manage Innovation projects with a capital requirement of $1MM+.
  • Be accountable to the product supply organization to ensure that new product offerings can be safely and efficiently manufactured with the technology required to make them.
  • Determine global capital needs and COS estimates, by working with GPS and Regional SME’s.
  • Provide global sourcing plans and supply chain maps to ensure an adequate global supply chain to meet marketing volume forecast plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Request & direct GPS SME teams to provide GPS deliverables per the Playbook during Ideation and Development phases.
  • Participate in work-streams that improve the efficacy or efficiency of those processes.
  • Be sub-process expert for GPS specific NPD / E2E process deliverables.
  • Be accountable for the GPS timeline deliverables per the GPS Playbook and provide to the global project manager for integration into the overall project timeline.
  • Initiate make vs. buy analyses in all sourcing locations and ensure sourcing considerations are accounted for to meet global demand application and scope (i.e. countries committed) and acknowledge all potential trade-offs.
  • Assemble the regional GPS inputs to the global business MEA.
  • Direct GPS Quality Business Leads in development of production quality requirements and quality control plans.
  • Provide GPS technical assessment and manage the Technical Guide.
  • Develop initial production pipeline build plans.
  • Develop Product Supply Change Management plans.
  • Effectively manage and communicate project risks with GPS stakeholders.
  • Support GPS team until last Commercialization kick-off with the associated regional project manager. Continue to sponsor the regional commercialization teams through launch.
  • Support development of the Scoping Document, Development Objective, Design Guide, and other key project documents throughout Ideation and Development phases. Work with regional teams to develop the Commercialization Contract Documents.
  • Work with project teams to prepare them for Stage gate reviews and attend Stage Gate reviews:
    • Idea – Dev and Dev – Commercialization as GPS lead.
    • Attend as GPS sponsor Commercialization – Launch.

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Education: BS or BA technical/business degree required.
  • Minimum 7-10 years’ direct/relevant business experience.
  • Demonstrated project management experience, preferably in manufacturing, engineering R&D and/or purchasing / planning / distribution.
  • Experience in new product launches, contract manufacturing and financial analysis.

Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Demonstrated project management experience, preferably in manufacturing, engineering R&D and/or purchasing / planning / distribution.
  • Experience in new product launches, contract manufacturing and financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of operations & procurement / sourcing.
  • Experience to interface, lead and build relationships with multiple levels and functions internal and external to the corporation.
  • Sustainable track record in identifying, developing and executing process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Total Cost of Ownership and how trade off decisions impact delivered cost. This requires sound understanding of cost drivers in supply chain management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and decision-making with stakeholder alignment
  • Highly organized, flexible, and able to quickly adapt from one situation to the next.
  • Strong analytical, attention to detail.
  • Leadership, sound judgment, and solid technical problem solving skills are essential.
  • Business Acumen - Understands business implications of decisions; aligns work with strategic goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with success in influencing others in cross-functional areas.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and sense of urgency, self-starter.
  • MS Excel, Power Point Proficiency.

  • Travel Time expected: 20%
