The Sales Account Manager, SC Johnson Ahold Field Sales will manage Ahold’s Air Care and Home Storage businesses and customer engagement, overseeing joint business planning and day-to-day engagement, driving growth via Distribution, Merchandising, Pricing, and Promotion & Replenishment (DMPPR).  In this role, you will own forecasting, deal management, and cross-functional relationships with supply chain, marketing, and finance. Customer relationships, early planning and supply chain execution are critical aspects of role, historically resulting in record-breaking sales and share growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Achieve annual Air Care and Home Storage business objectives

  • Build strong customer relationships and partnerships driving sales, market share and profit growth

  • Execute seasonal and drive period programs with early planning, accurate forecasting, and clear communication across supply chain and the customer

  • Identify and execute distribution, promotion, and merchandising opportunities aligned with corporate and customer goals

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5+ years of relevant business experience OR advanced degree and a minimum of 3+ years of relevant business experience

Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) and Sales Account Management strongly preferred

  • Category/shelf management or trade marketing experience

  • Understanding of the food channel and unique aspects that impact food retailers and shoppers

Technical Skills:

  • Demonstrated proficiency forecast planning with Plan It forecast tool

  • Experience managing trade budget with record of delivering business objectives across P&L

  • Experience using syndicated databases, creating insights and meaningful analysis for SCJ and customer

Leadership Skills:

  • Experience leading joint business planning and category line reviews, providing strategic guidance

  • Cross-functional and peer leadership, aligning broad teams across functions to achieve common goal and meet business objectives

  • Adaptability though both company and customer changes, able to pivot as needed to meet objectives

Decision-Making Responsibility

  • Align with SCJ Ahold Director on specific strategic business plans

  • Sales forecasting for everyday and seasonal business.  Develop seasonal customer forecast to ensure program meets business objectives with limited liability

  • Manage Air Care and Home Storage pricing and equity deals within budget

  • Distribution, merchandising, pricing, and promotion recommendations

Job Requirements:

  • Full-time

  • Must reside in Northeast, US within 90 minutes of an Ahold headquarters: Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA and Landover, MD
