About the role:
The Associate Manager, Marketing Commercialization initiates, develops and executes marketing plans for an assigned group of products and is accountable for the budget management for these products. Supports Marketing leadership team in the development and execution of advertising and promotional plans, launch of new items and provides analysis support and business recommendations for the business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develops expertise of the category to fulfill role of internal expert on Canadian business. 
  • Business Analysis - Competitive reviews, new product launches/line extensions, program evaluation and share analysis integration multiple sources of data (Nielsen, Global research, etc)
  • Financial  – brand P&L’s, APD spending & Tracking Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) – provides volume forecasts Consumer – Rich understanding of Demand Spaces, brand positioning and consumer blueprint
  • Own the commercialization of new products / line extensions.  Actively manage project status by working with key stakeholders to deliver on time.
  • Initiate, recommend and lead the development and execution of business plans geared to fulfilling divisional brand and category strategies.  Manage brand P&L’s from a spending/pricing/volume standpoint.  Ensure volume and spending targets on business portfolio are achieved.  Optimize efficiency of support dollars.
  • Lead and manage the execution of promotional activity with suppliers and customers.  Effectively deliver agency briefs.  Up to date tracking of programs versus budget and versus key performance measures. 
  • Lead the integration with other cross-functional departments to resolve brand issues, and execute product activity (new products or products restages).  Key member of the strategic cross-functional business team and leaders of the tactical teams.
  • Partner with Sales to identify and capitalize on key opportunity areas in new or existing channels. Gain solid presence with Sales as an available resource for key account business building.
  • Become the internal “voice” for all brand communication.  Use expertise of local market and brands to efficiently adapt available Global assets to best suit Canadian needs.  Establish presence with Global and US counterparts to create strong lines of communication.  Evaluate applicability of U.S. research to Canadian market.  Recommend and action stand-alone research when necessary.
  • Assist in varied departmental/corporate activities such as recruiting, as well as corporate functions where applicable.

Required Experience:

2-3 years’ experience in a marketing related role, preferably brand management

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree essential requirement (Business or Marketing major or minor highly preferred)

Remote work is available once per week after the first 90 days for eligible positions.
