Role: R&D Manager - MENAPT
Location: Cairo, Egypt
Overview:
This position will support MENAPT cross functional project teams in Developing, Commercialization, Launch, and Post Launch Phases to ensure project schedule, cost, capital, quality, and customer service objectives are met for regional and global initiatives. This position will assist in leading different strategic intents/ initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the portfolio of MENAPT cluster across all categories and different strategic intents of growth, cost savings, business continuity, sustainability, etc.
- Lead the product change management team of MENAPT cluster
- Lead projects through the Development, Commercialization, Launch, and Post Launch Phases. Develop timelines, key milestones, and risk and mitigation plans
- Support risk identification/mitigation plans to achieve portfolio objectives.
- Lead and Manage projects according to SCJ processes and best practices
- Align and communicate projects milestones and escalate any challenges to the right forums
- Collaborate with multifunctional core teams (Marketing, engineering, procurement, Product Supply, etc.) to successfully identify, develop and launch new products in an accelerated manner.
Experience you’ll bring:
- Bachelor of Science or a related engineering field, with min of 10 years of experience product/packaging development experience and portfolio management
- Experience in Project Management in manufacturing or purchasing/planning/distribution.
- People manager that can lead a team of PMs, packaging, and process engineers.
- Strong technical expertise and working knowledge of multiple projects of different strategic intents i.e. growth, cost savings, business continuity, etc.
- Experience and technical competency in building the timelines of projects
- Technical curiosity to investigate the source of issues & opportunities, while providing creative ideas, quality of work, and speed through a results-oriented approach.
- Utilize available resources (patent literature, suppliers, etc.) to identify internal & external technologies, including their limits of use, and assess which ones apply to scope of work or brand migration strategy.
- Ability to define and build alignment from technical stakeholders around an effective research plan.
- Product Management systems experience (i.e. SAP Product Lifecycle Management)
- Ability to lead technical work ranging from individual research initiatives to more complex projects, serving as the RDE Technical Lead when called upon to manage multiple project work-streams.

This role is not eligible for relocation.
