Develop deep regional supply-market knowledge and lead sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation and supplier relationship management to deliver cost and cash improvements, innovation, resilience and measurable business value. Act as a procurement subject matter expert and a key point of accountability for regional Logistics, Supply Chain and Finance stakeholders. Depending on assigned markets and category responsibilities, the portfolio may include Ocean Freight, Freight Forwarding, Customs Brokerage, Inbound and Outbound Transportation, Warehousing, Pallets and other Logistics services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Regional category strategy and sourcing

  • Own and lead regional execution of Logistics procurement strategies, coordinating cross-functional teams through a matrix structure and aligning execution with global category priorities.
  • Analyze regional logistics supply markets, capacity, carrier networks, service models, competitive dynamics and cost drivers; translate insights into sourcing strategies and business cases.
  • Lead end-to-end competitive sourcing events, including requirements alignment, RFQ/RFP design, bid evaluation, supplier due diligence, award recommendations and implementation.
  • Leverage regional and global sources of supply to create credible competition, flexibility and best total-cost-of-ownership (TCO) outcomes.

Commercial management and value delivery

  • Develop and maintain detailed cost build-ups, clean-sheet / should-cost models and Total Cost of Ownership analyses to support fact-based negotiations.
  • Lead regional negotiation strategy and execution, including rate structures, indexation, service levels, capacity commitments, payment terms and risk allocation, in alignment with global contract strategy.
  • Responsible for regional pipeline and delivery of procurement cost savings, cash improvements and other value initiatives; track progress and partner with Finance to validate results.
  • Identify and mitigate logistics cost pressures, including freight market volatility, fuel, surcharges and inflation, while balancing cost, service and operational needs.

Supplier relationship and performance management

  • Lead Strategic Relationship Management (SRM) with key carriers, forwarders, 3/4PL and logistics service providers to strengthen partnerships, improve service and identify innovation opportunities.
  • Establish and review strategic supplier performance against agreed KPIs, including on-time delivery, reliability, capacity, responsiveness, visibility and cost performance; drive corrective actions.
  • Maintain supplier competitiveness, commercial leverage and appropriate supplier dependency levels. Assess supplier concentration, financial exposure and operational dependencies, and develop appropriate risk-mitigation actions.

Supply continuity, risk and compliance

  • Partner with regional Logistics and Supply Chain operations to assess supply and transport risks, develop contingency plans, evaluate alternate suppliers and routing options, and protect business continuity.
  • Ensure sourcing, supplier selection, contracting and supplier management activities follow applicable SC Johnson procurement policies, approvals and governance requirements.
  • Integrate relevant responsible sourcing, sustainability and risk considerations into supplier assessments and category plans.

Stakeholder partnership and reporting

  • Serve as a key point of accountability for senior business and functional stakeholders, including Finance, for execution and results delivery on assigned regional spend.
  • Build alignment with regional Logistics & Supply Chain, Legal, Global Risk Management, Finance and Procurement stakeholders on sourcing decisions, trade-offs, implementation and escalations.
  • Demonstrate independent leadership, accountability and sound judgment; influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive execution in a matrix organization without direct reporting authority.
  • Prepare clear category plans, business cases, savings reports, supplier reviews and management updates

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
  • At least five years of relevant professional experience, including demonstrated hands-on Procurement experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, contract management, and Logistics or Supply Chain categories.
