Job Title: Manager, Safety, Health and Environment - Facilities And RD&E (APAC)

As a Manager, Safety, Health, and Environment - Facilities And RD&E (APAC), you will be responsible to execute deployment of SC Johnson’s SHE management practices within the global Facilities and RD&E organizations to ensure compliance with local legal requirements and SCJ global standards. While this role requires safety, health and environmental technical knowledge and experience, success is equally dependent on developing and supporting “champions” at sites within the Facilities and RD&E organizations to drive day-to-day ownership for SHE.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide SHE tactical support for 3 administrative office and laboratory locations of varying sizes and complexity for Malaysia, Australia and Philippines.
• Manage deployment of SHE compliance assurance processes, such as compliance calendars and preventive maintenance schedules, to achieve and maintain compliance with applicable laws, permit authorizations and company standards.
• Deploy internal audit processes, including SHE-related self-assessments and physical hazard inspections, that proactively identify potential SHE non-conformances.
• Partner with assigned stakeholders to drive timely, effective closure of identified SHE-related corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead the development and maintenance of training processes to ensure that required safety, health and environmental training for the organization is defined, addresses required content and is tracked to completion.
• Provide technical support – such as qualitative industrial hygiene risk assessments – to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards associated with safety, health, environmental and fire protection matters.
• Champions the investigation of safety, health and environmental incidents and ensures that corrective and preventive actions that address root causes are effectively deployed across the respective sites.

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree from an academic university in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Registration as a Safety and Health Officer with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) of the Ministry of Human Resources or currently hold all requirements for registration.
• 7-10 years of SHE technical experience in a manufacturing, facilities management, or research & development environment.
• Experience in the deployment of laboratory safety programs preferred
