Senior HR Officer

• Location: Midrand, South Africa
• Contract Type – Fixed term
• Duration – 12 months

Overview:

 We are looking for a high-energy and action-oriented candidate to drive a broad spectrum of HR initiatives in South Africa. Reporting to the HR Director for Africa Cluster, this role is responsible for holistic HR business partnering in the areas of talent management, leadership development, employee engagement, change management, diversity & Inclusion, employee relations, onboarding performance management, workforce planning and compensation planning / implementation. This role is a strong partner for the commercial team in Midrand and will also partner with HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, COEs and external HR partners to ensure the successful delivery of HR programs and initiatives across the organization

Responsibilities:

• Execute the delivery of Talent Management & Organizational Effectiveness programs such as Performance Management Process, Management Succession & Development, Global Employee Opinion Survey, etc.
• Partner with HR Delivery Center and the COEs to ensure consistent execution of HR policies, initiatives, and approaches within the commercial office and the site.
• Lead change management programs and initiatives as well as be responsible for the implementation and/or coordination of applicable training programs
• Lead employee engagement initiatives, cultural programs, special projects and related duties, as assigned.
• Responsible for the full cycle recruitment process for production roles
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition team for non-production roles and onboarding.
• Support compensation process and ensure to distribute key communications, as needed

Experience you’ll bring:

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Management, Human Relations, or related discipline
• 7+ years of HR generalist experience working with manufacturing and commercial teams.
• Knowledge of general HR policies, procedures, and HR leading practices and applicable laws / regulations in South Africa
• Knowledge of the South Africa labor legislation, and the ability to advice and support the leadership team in relation to labor relations.

Behaviours you’ll need:

• Strong ability to work in matrix organization and multinational environment.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
• Experience with Performance Management, Talent Management, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Compensation programs and HR laws and regulations
• Demonstrated skills in leadership, integration, facilitation, and complex problem solving.
• Ability to work effectively in an environment of change and manage multiple priorities concurrently through strong project management, systems knowledge, and effective communication.
