Associate Manager, Engineering Generalist

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position provides project management coordinating the assigned projects to deliver the expected outcome of each of them.  

The incumbent will need to demonstrate business acumen to better handle the projects resources, finding the best engineering solutions and possible options to deliver the expected results. This person needs to handle end to end project management in terms of engineering disciplines collaborating with cross functional areas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage multiple capital projects and programs simultaneously collaborating with sites and subject matter experts in execution.

  • Manage projects according to SCJ processes, best practices, internal and regulatory standards.

  • Propose technological upgrade with focus on safety, quality, costs, and sustainability.

  • Support new product initiatives performing technical feasibility analysis in early stages.

  • Drive MOC process (management of changes) of assigned projects.

  • Coordinate engineering related on site contractors.

  • Lead bidding process as of the project requirement.

  • Assure resources availability to perform installations and required trials.

  • Identify potential cost savings initiatives and lead process to implement them.

  • Propose alternatives and conduct trade-off discussions when process deviations may occur.

  • Track project progress, issue status reports and escalate issues as necessary to leadership committee.

  • Establish rapport with stakeholder, assuring their expectations are not in conflict with project outcomes.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering related to Chemical, Electrical and Mechanical

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the consumer-packaged goods, food/beverage, or pharmaceutical industries, developing both automatic and manual equipment solutions.

  • Project Management skills: project plan development, capex control, progress communication; project completion on time and within budget; preferably in manufacturing environment.

  • Success in new product launches, contract manufacturing and financial analysis

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Experience to interface, lead and build relationships with multiple levels to the corporation.

  • Manufacturing experience is desirable

  • Problem solving mindset.

  • Communication - Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Teamwork, business acumen, planning/organizing, able to deal with ambiguity.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full-Time

  • Remote work is available once a week for eligible employees

  • This role is not eligible for relocation
